4 Sided Triangle
The above band has received a Jazz Services National Touring Support Scheme grant for their new tour.

Line-up:
Kevin Figes – Saxes and compositions
Mike Outram - Guitar
Dan Moore – Fender
Daisy Palmer – Drums (on record)
Mark Whitlam – Drums (live)
This exciting new project was formed by saxophonist Kevin Figes to give wings to a whole new concept, and so that a batch of his recent compositions could be played by some of his very favourite musicians. As such, 4 Sided Triangle feels like a truly cohesive group, confidently led by the punchy, grooving lines of Figes’ sax and Mike Outram’s guitar and underpinned by a rock-solid Rhodes and drums rhythm section.
Figes states that his main writing influences include Chris Potter's Underground group, Miles Davis' Live Evil album and prog-rock legends Soft Machine. The resultant mix of writing and the brilliantly diverse talents of the band members provides for a wonderfully energetic experience; with inspiration coming from rock, funk and prog as well as heavily from contemporary jazz, the band’s storming riffs and solos as exhilarating on record as they are on stage. Their first self-titled CD is released on 2nd July.
