Jazz Education in the North East
In September 2007, the North East Jazz Strategy Group supported by Arts Council England North East, commissioned a research project into jazz education provision across the NE region, with a view to using it to inform a long-term jazz education strategy. The research brief sought the level and types of jazz education provision in primary and secondary schools and also within music services and more informal workshop and extra curricula contexts. Jazz - the Case for Better Investment
'Jazz - the Case for Better Investment' was in response to the Arts Council of Great Britain (as it then was) and their 1992 National Review of Jazz. The report presents the case for a fair share of arts funding for jazz.
