What is the NTSS?
The Jazz Services National Touring Support Scheme (NTSS) offers funding to artists touring around the UK, with grants of up to £2,500 available to help support the costs of going on tour, rather than fund it in its entirety. Over the years we’ve helped hundreds of fantastic UK jazz artists take to the road and it remains our most popular funding scheme.
Who’s It For?
The NTSS is open to anyone from rising stars to established scenesters, but is generally aimed at helping musicians and small groups of merit not readily promoted by the commercial sector. At the same time, it hopes to encourage jazz promoters, increase small-scale touring and help grow the audience for jazz in the UK.
How To Apply
To apply, you’ll need to complete the application form and submit an EPK (electronic press kit).
As part of the application process applicants are asked to submit a tour schedule comprising a minimum of 6 dates within a four week period. Most, if not all, of these dates should be confirmed and the tour should have a national spread. Full conditions can be found in the application form and accompanying guidelines.
