The Birmingham Centre for Media and Cultural Research, in partnership with Birmingham Conservatoire and Birmingham Jazz, will present 'Jazz and the Media', a seminar featuring presentations from three internationally recognized authorities on jazz.
Mike Connolly, who produced the BBC's seminal 'Jazz Britannia', Broadcaster and author Alyn Shipton and respected jazz photographer, William Ellis are all booked as key speakers. Following the well attended Jazz and the BBC debate organised by Jazz Services and Music Tank earlier this year, it is great to see that the subject continues to be one of interest to academics, media experts and jazz fans alike.
Date: 15th October 2010
Time: 10:30am to 3:30pm
Location: School of Art, Margaret Street, Birmingham, B3 3BX
