Trevor Tomkins is a highly respected drummer, and Proffessor/teacher of Jazz drums and improvisation at the Guildhall. He has worked and recorded with with a number of British bands including Michael Garrick's, the Rendell/Carr Quintet, Barbara Thompson's Jubiaba, Henry Lowther's Quarternity and Ian Carr's Nucleus.He has worked at Ronnie Scott's and played with US 'giants' Phil Woods,Art Farmer and Sonny Stitt amongst many others. He has recently made a number of CDs with pianist John Horler.
He is also the organiser/performer/promoter of Jazz gigs at the Red Lion, Isleworth, London. Trevor has been running these gigs for almost 2 years and has previously been running other gigs in West London for about 10 years.
