Humphrey Lyttelton

Described as “Britain’s senior jazz ambassador, bringing wit, intelligence and humour to the concert platform” he still provides this unique combination of talents as a trumpeter, band leader, author and broadcaster. During the late 1940s he was considered as one of the main leaders of the UK’s revivalist movement and for the last 50 years he has led some of the UK’s best jazz musicians in his bands, to become a household name for both his playing and his radio persona.
